Genting SkyWorlds Outdoor Theme Park is finally open its door to the public on 8th February 2022 and we are extremely thrilled to visit this brand new theme park that cost over USD$800 million to develop. Technology have been well incorporated into various rides in the newly minted theme park, including 4D, acceleration and thrill.
One of the most impressive feature that being rolled out in the Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park is the Genting SkyWorlds apps. It offers several features that we absolutely love:
1) Pre-book your preferred time slots for certain rides (Virtual Queue Reservations) and skip the long queue!
2) Download the digital photos taken by Genting's crews. It uses a facial recongition technology.

3) View waiting times and height requirements of all your favourite rides
4) Have a total glance of all available rides and maps (in case you are the type that get lost easily in the 26 acres theme park)

The new theme park has become so photogenic with its striking colours and offers various Instagrammable spots. As of now, Genting Skyworlds theme park features about 25 rides and attractions based on the franchises such as Blue Sky Studios' Ice Age, Rio and Epic, Life of Pi, Night at the Museum, Planet of the Apes, Alien vs Predator, Titanic, Sons of Anarchy and Independence Day.
If it was not for the rides, we could spend probably half a day here taking pictures.

Here are a few of our favourite rides in Genting SkyWorld, namely Alpha Fighter Pilot, ESD Global Defender and Independence Day. The former 2 are thrill rides that will turn you upside down so make sure you take the rider before your lunch or moments after your lunch. On the other hand, the Independence Day is such an interesting ride and you will get to meet one of local artist in the ride. Keep the suspense here so you may unveil the secret there yourself while taking the ride.
All these 3 rides are very popular ride and the queue may be insane, even on a weekday! Utilise the VR Reservations in your apps to cut down the queue time.
Another popular ride is Samba Glidder, a roller coaster andSid's Rock 'N' Slide. You can also try to get wet in the Epic Voyage to Moonhaven ride.

Most of the rides in the outdoor theme park has a height requirement of 90cm or even above, and our kid was so sad that she could not participate in any of the rides. She kept pointing the the rides and did not understand why she could not take the rides.
Fortunately, she could go for Sid's Playhouse in Ice Age. Over there the kids and adults were entertained with a Time Wrap show featuring Ice Age's cartoons characters. There will be snowing too!

This marks the first times we brought our little girl for a cable car ride. She was stunned and excited at the same times, then keep point to smaller thing beneath her. Fortunately she does not exhibit any fear of height!
All in all, a trip to the newly minted Genting SkyWorlds Outdoor Theme Park is sure worth your money. Have fun with the rides and attractions and enjoy the chilled weather here!
