Bring Penang History to Life with the weekly event Timeless Penang Carnival @ Fort Cornwallis

Fort Cornwallis is one of the historical tourist attraction in Penang where I can be sure some of the Penangites have never visited it because Ee Pin and I were one of them. The emergence of Kota cafe has given the sentimental atmosphere of the Fort some lively uplift. Last week, The Esplanade Park introduced the recurring event that brings back Penang's history and activities from the old days at Fort Cornwallis. It happens on every Friday and weekend's evening, where the Fort will be hosting bazaar and dancing show. The weekend nightlife at the fort will never be the same again in a good way.

The impressive narrator, Anson.
One of the beautiful dancer, Jessica.

The highlights of the night was the dance show narrated on how Penang island was discovered by Sir Captain Francis Light and the history of how Baba Nyonya has formed. The passionate performers has brought back the history to life, but in the entertaining way. The flow of the story was smooth  and fantastic. The downside would be the sound and lighting system could be improved further. There were times where light pointed at the audience which makes us difficult staring back to the stage.

We were the one of the lucky audience who manage to catch the auspicious orange thrown from the performer.
May Our Dreams Come True as wishes.
