As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Eastin Hotel Penang welcomes guests to experience the spirit of the season through their specially curated Ramadan buffet dinner, "lftar Selera Sedunia." From 20 February until 16 March 2026, guests are invited to gather for iftar from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm with a generous buffet spread that brings together cherished Ramadan traditions and flavours from all around the world.
Created with care for both traditional tastes and more adventurous international palates, lftar Selera Sedunia offers a thoughtfully prepared selection of appetizers, main dishes, live cooking stations, and desserts. The buffet features comforting Ramadan favourites such as ulam-ulaman, assorted samba!, lemang, ketupat, and traditional rendang, alongside a variety of salads and chilled seafood on ice.
Anchoring this is Eastin Hotel Penang's signature offerings, notably the Soup Gearbox, a slow simmered specialty prepared with beef marrow bones and aromatic spices, resulting in a rich, full bodied broth that is both comforting and deeply flavourful. Complementing this is the Kambing Panggang served with Kabsah-style lamb shank, carefully prepared to retain tenderness while delivering aromatic, well-balanced spices, making it a hearty centrepiece of the Ramadan spread. These signature highlights are supported by a wide variety of prepared dishes, including slow-braised Korean-style beef ribs, honey-glazed ayam bakar, wok-prepared seafood, and regional favourites such as daging massaman kari ,belut goreng berfado and many more.
The evening is further enriched by interactive live stations, where chefs prepare garlic prawn fried rice on the griddle and freshly grilled chicken and beef satay served with condiments. A dedicated dessert live station offers freshly made croffles and apam balik, while curated food stalls present local favourites and chef-led specialty dishes throughout the night. To complete the experience, guests may enjoy an extensive dessert selection featuring traditional Malay kuih, warm desserts, assorted cakes, puddings, ice cream, and familiar Ramadan beverages such as teh tarik, kopi tarik, and a selection of juices. Additionally, live traditional music will be performed nightly by a band playing Malay melodies, creating a warm and soothing setting that reflects the spirit and ambience of Ramadan.
The Ramadan buffet is priced at RM148 nett per adult, with a special rate of RM128 nett for senior citizens and a 50% discount for children aged 6 to 12 years old. To mark the season, the first 1,000 confirmed reservations will enjoy an early bird price at RM128 nett per person, offering added value for those planning their Ramadan gatherings in advance.
