Dioriviera 2025 Pop-up and Dior Cafe at Macalister Mansion Penang
The highly anticipated Dioriviera Pop up has officially landed in Penang on June 13th, 2025 and it is already making waves across social media with the hastag #Dioriviera. Following successful editions in Desaru and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, it is a true honour that House of Dior has chosen the year-round tropical state of Penang as the locations for this year's pop-up. It is a dreamy fusion of haute couture and coastal alure.
As a vibrant tribute to seasonal art de vivre, the House has created an enchanting retreat at Macalister Mansion, Penang, in the heart of Malaysia. Echoing the Dioriviera collection, this haven offers an exclusive new decor amid lush nature and sunny sophistication.
Promising eternal summer, a temporary outdoor pop-up stands like a dream hideaway. In a palette of natural shades, the unique location hosts a jungle populated by elephants, giraffes, tigers, cacti and palm trees, crafted in life-size bamboo and woven rattan; a magical setting reflecting the wildlife featured in the Toile de Jouy Sauvage and Toile de Jouy Palms prints, which continue inside the captivating space. The latest Dior creations are unveiled in this marvelous atmosphere, clothing, beach accessories, and the iconic Dior Book Tote presented in bright hues.
Inviting guests to relax and unwind, the terrace is punctuated with exceptional furniture: parasols and armchairs adorned with the emblematic Toile de Jouy motifs in infinitely colorful variations, while buoys take the form of animals – an open-air area that embodies the essence of the Dioriviera spirit.

Café Dior Experiences: Where Culinary Meets Couture
The highlight for many Penangites? Café Dior, the stunning collaboration of design and gastronomy. The Savoury menu here are curated by Chef Raymond Tham from Beta KL while the Dessert menu are curated by Chef Nathalie from Nathalie Gourmet Studio.
During the opening, I tried the Cod Fish with Asam Pedas sauce that accompanied with Jicama as side (RM 110++). The cod was perfectly cooked with crisped skin, while the Asam Pedas added a zesty Nyonya touch that felt like an additing of Penang's cultural soul into the dish.
For dessert, The Butterfly (RM 60++), a beautiful creation of Morelo Cherry, Elderflower and Jivara Chocolate. Just to cool off, I sipped on the Riviera Mocktail (RM 50++) which an refreshing blend of purple potato coconut milk and pandan. A drinks that says tropical, creamy and utterfly Dior.
Before leaving, don't miss the Ice Cream kiosk. We indulged in the Earl Grey Lavender (RM 25++), a scoop of floral richness and luxury. Feeling adventurous maybe? Try the Passion Fruit Laksa ice cream, a bold twist of flavours.
The Dioriviera Boutique
Fashion lovers will be delighted to explore the Dioriviera boutique, showcasing exclusive pieces in Palm Tree and Animal Toile de Jouy prints. Expect to see lightweigh fabrics, breezy summer and refined textures that is ideal for tropical styling.
