Le Dux Patisserie: Where Passion Meets Pastry
Le Dux Patisserie was founded by Chef Belle, a former corporate executive who made a bold career switch to pursue her passion for pastry-making in 2023.
I had a brief chat with Chef Belle during my visit, and the Le Cordon Bleu Australia graduate shared the journey why she left corporate world to persue pastry culinary in Australia. Well, before enrolling in the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu program, she had been juggling between making pastries in the evening as a hobbyist while meddling with corporate works during office hours. Eventually, she reached a crossroad and chose to follow her heart. The result is Le Dux Patisserie, where we managed to enjoy some nicely crafted pastries.
Therefore, these pastries you tasted in Le Dux Patisserie is a product made out of passion. In case you wonder, the lady you always see in the kitchen in Le Dux Patisserie is Chef Belle herself.

Morning Must-Haves: Croissants and More
Many regular patrons here is after their freshly baked croissants, typically available in the morning after the shop opens. I sample their classic croissant and it checked all the boxes - flaky texture, crusty edge, airy and soft interior, coupled with aroma buttery texture.
If you prefer croissants with fillings, Le Dux Patisserie also offers other types of croissants including hazelnuts, pistachio raisin, Earl Grey Macadamia, Garlic Cream Cheese and etc.
Interestingly, you’ll notice that some pastries are labeled “kawsons.” This clever naming convention is Chef Belle’s way of helping guests pronounce “croissants” correctly - a playful and educational touch.

We also tried their Ham and Cheese, which had flaky texture as like the croissants, but further enriched by the savoury depth of cheese. If you prefer something denser in texture, try their Orang Mint Kouign Amann. It is buttery and caramelized with a refreshing citrusy-mint twist.
The also offer a variety of scones such as chocolate chip scones and raisin scones.

Show-Stopping Desserts: Art on a Plate
Interestingly, among the display, what truly caught our attention were the stunning desserts. The Poisoned Apples is indeed a visual masterpiece. It resembles the iconic apple that Snow White had. Made from the blend of Varlhona Guanaja and Dark Chocolate, along with mouse. The sweetness and richness of chocolates were perfectly balanced by the raspberry and compote that bring some acidity to the dessert.
Another artwork masterpiece dessert we had was Tiramisu in Edible Cups. It is available in alcohol and non-alcohol version, and the fun part of having this dessert is you get to use to small wooden hammer provided to knock down the chocolate prior enjoying it. The tiramisu is rich and dense with a faint alcohol sensation, and indeed a delectable dessert to have.
