We enjoyed a short and refreshing getaway by checking in the one and only Moroccan-inspired oasis at Kepala Batas- The Bertam Resort and Waterpark Penang, a 5-star luxury resort that blends elegance with family-friendly vibes.

Stepping back into the resort brought back a flood of memories from our last stay two years ago,, right after it first opened. This time, it was even more special as we returned with the kids (much bigger now) and stayed in their spacious Family Quadruple Room, which the experience feel new all over again.

The architectural and design style of the resorts is shouting Moroccan vibes the moment we entered their huge main lobby, intricate arches, tall columns, beautiful lights and the warm earthy tones create a majectic first impression. The central pool is lanscaped with palm trees, pacilions and cloister-style walkways, as if transporting us straight to a resort in Marrakesh,

Bertam Resorts has it all with multiple dining outlets, fun recreational facilities for all age. The atmosphere here invites the guest to slow down and relax. The staff were attentive and welcoming, adding a personal touch that made our stay pleasant.

Plus, there is ample-on-site private parking and it is complimentary for all guests.

Family Quadruple Room with Twin Queen Size Beds and Bathtub

Bertam Resort offers over ten types of room options to suit a variety of preferences. The Family Quadruple Room is probably a popular choice for those staying with kids. This spacious room features two queen-size beds, ideal for families needing both comfort and space. A private balcony overseeing the serene pool, adding a touch of calm to our stay.

The room is decorated in a sophisticated navy blue colour theme, giving it a modern and elegant touch. The private bathroom comes with a large size bathtub, perfect for soaking after a long day, aloing with all the necessary amenities thoughtfully provided. Our favourite features of the room would be the electric-powered curtains. Just a push of a button and we are ready to go into sleep or let the sunshine in in the morning.

Large Swimming Pool for Aquatic Fun

Bertam Resort take great pride in its water features. The huge swimming pool at the centre of the resort is a serene spot for the guest to unwind. It is surrounded by lush landscaping, palm trees and and Moroccan-style pavilions, making it feel like a transquil oasis.

The wading pool for children is impressively spacious and set apart from the adult pool, offering safety and peach of mind for parents. The adult pool, designed in an L-shape, offering relaxation area while the longer stretch perfect for lap swims. Whether in the warm daylight or under glowing evening lights, the pool ambiance is stunning at any time of day.

Exceptional Facilities for All Ages

Bertam Resort ensures that both kids and adults are well taken care of with their impressive array of facilities.

The kids' room is a bright and inviting mordern space that tailored for the young guests to learn, play and explore. It is stocked with toys, books and even in room toilet which we thought it is a thoughtful and conveninet feature. The location of the kids room just right next to the pool. The only downside was that some of the toys seemed a little worn from frequent use.While the kids' room was a thoughtful addtion but some toys showed signs of wear. Probably a bit of maintenance or a few new additions would make it even better.

For the grown-ups, the resort features a well-equipped Games Room with two billiard tables, a foosball table, and other activities to enjoy during the stay.

Fitness enthusiasts will love the fully-equipped gymnasium that spans over 4000 square feet. It includes both cardio and strength-training equipment to keep guest endorphins going. Afterwards, wind down in the steam and sauna rooms for that post-workout glow.
