As we drove along Sri Bahari Road, a striking mural of an Asian lady adorned with the iconic Vietnamese non la hat caught our attention at the corner shoplot beneath the white arcade. Before stepping inside, the imposing cockerel statues at the entrance hinted their poultry-centric menu awaiting us. Stepping through the door, the ambiance instantly transported us to the streets of Hoi-An, with a delightful touch being the chicken replica corner has really entertaining our children.
Com Ga Mi Mi House, the latest venture from Saigon House, boasts a straightforward menu centered around chicken. Guests can choose from rice, porridge, or noodle options. Eager to explore a variety of dishes, especially with children in tow, we opted to try both the rice and noodle variations.
We had the 2 person Chicken combo of chopped and grilled chicken, without giblets (RM 39.90). The set included fragant yellow rice, accompanied by comfortating chicken soup, and pleasantly brewed Vietnam Tea. The chopped and grilled chicken comes with own concoction of dipping sauce We love that the meals come with equal serving of poultry and greens which are cucumber, beansprout and vietnamese style cabbage pickle reminiscent of kimchi.
Next we tried was their Vietnam Noodle with Shredded Chicken (RM 16.90), customized without chili to suit our child's palate. The springy noodle they used here are finer type, and the serving of shredded chicken spared us the fuss with our little one. The seasoning went really well for our kids and us, offering a delightful balance of protein, carbo and greens.
The staff here were incredibly helpful and friendly, making it a standout choice for a kid-friendly dining experience during our visit.
