Chinese New Year 2023 Poon Choi and Set Course Menu by PUTIEN Malaysia

Chinese New Year often synonyms to great Chinese dishes and is time of the year when we gather and celebrate over delicious food. As such, PUTIEN Malaysia is dedicated to bring you the quality of authentic Chinese dishes this year, using the freshest ingredients imported from Putien province China to appease your most discerning appetite. PUTIEN Malaysia signature Poon Choi is currently open for booking in advance, and the restaurant also offer Chinese course menu for your Chinese New Year celebration.

Early booking of Poon Choi before 15th January 2023 will entitle for a 15% discount.

PUTIEN's Poon Choi, also known as PUTIEN pot of goodies came with 12 different quality elements, namely sea cucumbers, abalones, dried scallops, braised pork, fish maws, fatt choy, prawns, chicken wings, dried clams, Japanese flower mushrooms, bean curds and tendons. You can order the 4-pax, 6-pax or 10-pax portion, and each set will get a complimentary PUTIEN's Mazu Mee Sua. 

Poon Choi is considered as a luxury dish to us and usually only consumed during special occasions. Our impression toward poon choi was rich flavour and thick consistency, and we somehow did not appreciate the thick consistency part. However the Poon Choi in PUTIEN is well prepared - its gravy is not excessively thick that cause surfeiting but it was sleek and smooth. Then tt goes extremely well with the Mazu Mee Sua. 

Since each takeaway or dining Poon Choi comes with complimentary Mee Sua, you may enjoy these 2 items together. If you plan to dine in restaurants, remember to ask the crews to cook the Mee Sua for you as it will be given to you in takeaway packaging.

The restaurant also prepares a range of Chinese delicacies for you to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year 2023. The set course menu is available in the portion of 4pax, 6 pax and 10 pax to take care of your needs. We were privilleged to the Propitious for Six course meal, priced at RM 788 nett. 

We started with Putien Abalone Yee Sang, It is available in both dining and takeaways. If you choose to have the Yee Sang in restaurant, the crew will chant the rhythmic blessings words when preparing the Yee Sang. It was fun, and indeed fortunated to receive blessings for to start the new year before we started to toss the Yee Sang for a higher achievement even in 2023.
