The simple and non pretentious cafe offers a simple menu that features a few main dishes and we tried two of them - Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice Set (RM 22.90) and Kocha Taiwan Chicken Bento Set (RM 19.80). Other items that may whet your appetite include Taiwanese Pork Belly Bun + 4 Spirit Soup,  Eggplant Bento Set, Minced Pork Mushroom and Spaghetti Bolognese.

What we liked is both the main set we had come with a few side dishes such as pork soup, braised egg & tofu and jelly, just exactly like how Taiwanese would have it in their country.

Both Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice Set and Kocha Taiwan Chicken Bento Set were nice. It resembles the taste from Taiwan, though it had been localized to cater for locals' taste buds. We particularly enjoyed the chicken thigh. It offers an elusive aroma perhaps due to the special marination sauce, and the meat is tender juicy.

The marinated vegetables that come along the braised pork rice is well prepared too and something that I do not mind having more.

Apart from these main dishes, Chu Bee also offer some delicate desserts such as madeleine and tarts but unfortunately all the desserts were not available during our visit. Therefore, we had the Cai Kuih (RM 2.50/piece) and surprisingly these are good. The skin of the chai kuih is thin and can hold the generous quantity of fillings. It goes well with the chili provided.

Make a visit to Chu Bee if you miss Taiwanese food.
