Komtar is one of the thing that grows up with me as a Penangite. Well, apart from that, Ghee Hiang is another iconic and representation of Penang with a long history more than 165 years. Ghee Hiang Sesame Oil also has been a fond memory as I grew up enjoying bits of it in daily meals. As a marking of 165 years celebration, Ghee Hiang has introduced and revamp their signature cookies box, including Tau Sar Pneah (TSP), Beh Teh Saw (BTS), Hnoeh Pneah (HP) and Phong Pneah (PP). I liked the way how the gift box was presented. It came with a nicely designed box with detailing of Ghee Hiang history (just to make sure your gift receiver knows they are having real goodies right?), along with a strap that makes it convenient to pass to people.Â
We also found it humorous that their Beh Teh Saw is acronymed as BTS.Â
