Mon Delice Patisserie is a relatively low profile patisserie in Penang that has been established for close to a decade. It was originally located at Jalan Servis but has since relocated to Jalan Westlands, right behind Union Primary School. The patisserie offers more than a dozen of modern handmade French Patisserie, which every piece is unique and delicious on its own. Unlike other regular cafes, Mon Delice Patisserie only offers takeaway, as the shop only has a counter that display its charming patisserie and a cashier to process your order. The owner unorthodox decision to setup the shop in a resdient neighbourhood area yet with customers coming in proven the patisserie has garnered a stream of regulars.
One of the popular cake here is Mango Charlotte. It is a genoise sponge cake with a mild light taste, with vanilla cream mousse, mango mousse and topped with fresh mango cubes. Its light, refreshing taste and clever usage of cream mousse that is fairly moderate in volume resulted a balanced cake, and ultimate sensory satisfaction.
The Apple Cheesecake is also one of our favourite here. It is a light cheese cakes and they have stuffed cooked Granny Smith apples inside. Unlike the conventional cheese cakes that yield a rich taste, the apple cheesecakes is balanced with creaminess from cheese and light sweetness from the Granny Smith apples. The chocolate cake, Noisette is equally nice too.
