Memory Cafe, as it name suggests, is a cafe that reminiscence the nostalgic memories of those old good days living in a simple and cozy home in village. Not many would be able to locate Memory Cafe if not of social media as it is located in the small town Permatang Tinggi, which we considered a rather remote location for any tourist activities. Furthermore, the cafe does not bear any signature and its facade appear just like another house in the town. Despite all these "handicaps", we enjoyed ourselves in Memory Cafe, enjoying a quality and relaxing afternoon here with a cup of nice coffee and cakes.
Memory Cafe does not serve any main dishes. They only have a small menu of coffee, and at most 3 or 4 different types of cakes. The simplicity design of the interior, which cleverly combining the austere features of old homes with classic furniture to create an utterly comfy environment. Coupled with the air-conditioned settings, Memory Cafe generates a cozy and appealing ambience for coffee lovers to spend the time here.
Of course, the coffee here is good, and the barista will take time to brew the cup of coffee for you. Brewed specialty coffee is available too. If you notice, the latte art of the coffee is a reflection on how much effort has the barista poured into making this cup of coffee.
The Chocolate Cake we had was tall in size. It is light in taste, with spongy layer separating the chocolate cream. Overall, it is a nice piece of cake to enjoy.
Well, do not let the location or absence of main dishes in the menu deter your visit here. You will be rewarded with a handsome experience in enjoying a cup of good coffee here.Â
