We are sharing an easy recipe that can be replicated at home by anyone with minimal cooking skill to produce a delicious hash brows. All this while, we had an impression that hash browns are difficult to prepare and frozen hash browns are the ways to get this delicacy at home. However, things changed drastically upon I discovered this recipe and now I can happily prepare my own hash browns at home!

Easy Hashed Browns with Eggs Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 Russet Potatoes
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 3 Eggs
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Brown sugar (optional)
  • Bacons (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Cayenne Pepper to taste
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

1. Grate the potatoes and onion. First, grate the potaotes and onions and put the shard in a colandar.
2. Season the grated potatoes and onions with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and drizzle of olive oil. Mix the concoction well.
3. Squeeze the concoction. Using your bare hands, squeeze the concoction of potatoes and onion so the water can flow out. Squeeze as much as water you can. This is important to produce a crispy and well binded hash browns.
4. Cook the concoction. Drizzle some olive oil on a hot pan, then put the prepared concoction on it. Gently pat and flatten the concoction with a spoon to make it compact.
5. Add butter. Prepare small fleck of butter and put them surrounding the pan. Just let the butter slip through to the bottom of the concoction of potaotes and onions.
6. Cook the other side of hash browns. After the bottom layer has started to caramelized. Flip the hash browns over to cook the top part. The trick is to use a plate to cover the pan, then flip the hash browns over. Then put back the hash browns back with the earlier top layer becoming bottom layer now to heat it again.
6. Add eggs. Crack the egg on top of the hash browns and lightly season it with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.
7. Heat in oven. As the egg has started to cook with egg yolks still can move freely, move the entire hash browns onto a plate and heat in a pre-heat oven for 200°C for 7-8 minuets.
8. Cook the bacon. To elevate the hash browns taste, cook a few stripes of bacons in olive oil, salt, pepper and brown sugar until caramelized.
9. Ready to serve! After the hash brown has been heated, take it out from oven and place the cooked bacons on top of it.
