Hotel Buffet has became a bygone luxury in the history of mankind since the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world. However, Hard Rock Hotel Penang has come out something better to replace the obsolete buffet nowadays - All You Can Eat Local, Japanese & Chinese Fusion Seafood Saturday Night Live! What you need to do is go to different counters, order your desired food based on the menu displayed and the chef will prepare on the spot then you can take it to your table or have it delivered to you (just give them your table number). The buffet is available every Saturday at Starz Diner, priced at RM 115 nett (adult) and RM 65 nett (children). You can add on RM 25 nett for free flow of Coke & Sprite.Â

Starting from the first counter, you can order some hot soup such as prawn bisque or creamy mushroom soup, before flipping to the Chinese and Western hot dishes chef that churn out delicacies such as Chicken Kung Pao (sweet and sour chicken), Wok Fried Chili Crab, Stir Fried Local Vegetables, Poached Butter Fish, Ratatouille, Deep Fried Crab Cakes or others.
Truth is this is better than buffet. The chefs did such a wonderful job with the plating, making the food appealing aesthetically and the sauces of the dishes also did not intermix with each other during those buffet days.
The seafood section did not disappoint with a variety of fresh seafood ranging from black and green mussels, prawns, scallops, bamboo clams, flower crabs and snow crabs leg on the seafood on ice section. If you prefer Asian style seafood, there are sushi and sashimi up for you to grab.
While you are indulging at the main counters in Starz Diner, do not forget another corner of the restaurant still has a rang of items to offer, ranging from freshly cooked pasta, satay, live grill of slipper lobsters, chicken drumsticks, beef tenderloin, marinated squid and prawns, as well as carving of various protein such as roasted turkey, chicken, catch of the day, smoked roast beef with roasted vegetables and potatoes.Â
You can order the food and have it delivered to your table. Just pass them your table number.
And you hardly could miss out the dessert section too. We specially love their Tiramisu and Chocolate cakes.
