We went to Sigi's in Golden Sands Resorts for dining recently; and it is such a great news to announce that the Italian restaurant is open on every Friday to Sunday 11am to 9pm! Finally we can savour authentic and delicious Italian cuisine there, of course with additional procedures implemented to ensure the wellbeing of you as guests and allow you to dine in with an ease of mind. Sigi's also practice takeaways nowadays should you would like to enjoy these amazing Italian cuisine at home.
Among the measures introduced:Â
- Temperature check for all guests at all entrances of restaurants
- social distancing markers
- a maximum of 4 per table
- 2-metre distance between dining tables
- regular sanitisation of frequent touch points
- availability of sanitisers for the use of staff and guests at communal area and work stations
- added provision of apparatus and devices to minimise contacts with surfaces
- clearing and sanitising of tables after each use
- contactless ordering and payment with QR codes
Another great news - Sigi's has expanded their menu by featuring some exemplary Asian dishes such as Seafood Char Koay Teow, Chicken Curry Kapitan, Beef Rendang, Nasi Lemak and a few more.
Upon getting our temperature screened and allowed to enter Sigi's, we are required to fill guest declaration form and provided with mask cover to keep our masks in a hygienic way.Â
Instead of physical copy of menu, we are encouraged to browse through their menu to prevent contact with any potential infected surfaces. This brought safety measures in the resort to another next level.Â
To ensure safety and minimize the possible contacts between diners, the restaurants tables are spaced out with 2-metre distance between dining tables. The hotel even has Area Food Safety and Sanitation Manager, Khoh Soo Oon to implement all these stringent procedures in place, accordance to regulatory food standards requirement by the Malaysian Ministry of Health and local authorities.Â
On top of that, Golden Sands Resort will practice an enhanced level of safety protocol and social distancing in compliance with the guidelines recommended under the conditional MCO.Â

Surprisingly, nowadays Sigi's also serve great Asian dishes. In this sense, you can have all your crave fixed at a single location without going multiple places and risk exposing yourselves to risks. After that, Executive Sous Chef Rizal Masir, a native Malaysian chef in Golden Sands Resort is here to make sure the quality of the Asian dishes meets his expectations before these dishes make to your dining table.
