We are a little fan of Malay food, especially those with Thai influence and operate in low profile as warung style. Recently, we came across such stall - Tamarind Tomyam, in the vicinity of Farlim neighbourhood, setup in front of Casa Idaman Terrace House. Tamarind Tomyam serves a variety of fried rice, noodles, koay teow, tomyam and Malay inspired dishes. For just RM 20, we get our tummy satiated greatly.
Out of the wide range of fried rice and noodles available on the menu, we played safe by having Thai Fried Rice (RM 6) and Fried Maggi Noodle (RM 4). These 2 dishes did not disappoint - simple and having a balanced right flavour, although the fried maggi noodle was a tad salty. Meanwhile, we thought the idea of the chef cooking the fried rice with tomato is brilliant, as it introduce pleasant tomato taste to the Thai fried rice.
It is notable the serving size is big and suitable for those coming here with a hungry stomach.

Aside from the staples, Tomyam Campur (RM 6) was good with a generous portion of chicken slices and seafood. Though it did not taste fiery hot as we expecting from the Thai style tomyam, it still fit well to our appetite.
We also had a little fibers supply from the Kangkung (RM 4). The0 small portion is meant for one person, so order more portion in case you need extra supply of fibers.
As Tamarind Tomyam operates till 2am in the morning, it serves as a decent place for those who are coming to get some supper. There is a satay stall operating nearby also.
