The Light Hotel in Seberang Jaya is always full of surprise when it comes to festive buffet. In this upcoming auspicious Chinese New Year 2020, the hotel Grand Prosperity Reunion Buffet Dinner on 24th January 2020 and Blossoms of Prosperity CNY Day Buffet Dinner on 25th and 26th January 2020 are full with goodies, which included Fatt Choy Yee Sang, Prosperity Poon Choi, Hot Pot Station, Seafood on Ice, a wide spread of main course and etc that comes up to a whooping 200+ different types of items in the buffet!Â

The main highlight of the Chinese New Year at The Light Hotel will be the Poon Choi, which is carefully layered with all the items braised and cooked slowly with gravy to ensure its quality and best taste. Be wary though, as the queue may pile up in the buffet line as everybody cannot wait to dig into the "treasure" in the "basin"!
Should you prefer a la carte order of Propserity Poon Choi, it is available at RM 588+ per serving.
Yee Sang with Salmon and condiments will be available at the buffet counter too. Toss to a year of good fortune and longevity with the Yee Sang!
The action counter will be having hot pot section with up to 30 different items including array of seafood, vegetables served with option of either clear soup, tomyam soup or hokkien mee soup and selection of 5 types of noodles. It is considered a luxury version of hotpot by having slipper lobster in it!Â
Led by Chef Halim Mohamad, Executive Chef of The Light Hotel, the main dishes of Chinese New Year buffet will be having a great variety of selections including both Western delight, Oriental flavour and the signature Biryani. Among the highlights are salt & pepper fried squid, signature salted egg cereal prawns, steamed fish fillets with supreme soy sauce, chicken rice, chicken char siew, roasted duck and steamed herbal chicken.Â
For those who enjoys a bowl of warm soup, the chef has prepared 4 types of soup from Chinese traditional black chicken herbal soup, crabmeat soup, seafood chwoder and cream of mushroom soup.
At the meantime, Western delight such as seafood lasagne, chicken & potato pie, roasted leg of lamb with condiments are worthy try also.Â

For private gathering, The Light Hotel is offering Blooming Abundance CNY 8-Course SEt Dinner fro now till end February 2020 ranging from RM 1088+ for 10 person. For your information, the Grand Prosperity Reunion Buffet Dinner this year will be held at The Light Grand Ballroom with entertainment from 5-piece Chinese Orchestra and 3-piece live band to accompany you all light long.
