The popular Friday Poolside BBQ at Royale Chulan Penang has made a great comeback! You may now enjoy your Friday evening with an array of barbecued meats and fresh seafood grilled to perfection, along with Penang all-time favourite Hokkien Mee, Pasta and assortment of desserts which will be served in the buffet line by the poolside. Good news for diners as for every 2 paying guests, you will enjoy a Special Chef Seafood Surprise and with every 4 paying guests, you will get an exclusive Lucky Pot. The Friday Poolside BBQ is available from 11th October till 27th December 2019, and priced at RM 98 nett per adult and RM 50 nett per senior citizen or children.

It is fascinating to see all the chefs in action to dish out the array of barbecued proteins. According to executive Sous Chef, Chef Khamarullizad @ Chef Andy, the finest ingredients are being used to make sure all dishes served are appealing to people from all age groups.
Among the grilled food you can get are white prawn terriyaki, spiced paprika slipper lobster, garlic soy sauce calamari, grilled corn, sambal sting ray fish, marinated minute steak with black pepper, beef jumbo sausage, cajun and paprika marinated chicken wings, chicken and beef satay, tandoori and chicken sausages. There will be Royale spiced marinated roast lamb and roast prime rib beef too.
On top of the proteins, you can create your own salad from the assorted fresh garden salad and various dressings from the salad bar.

After some of the grilled protein, you can relish on the various main courses and both Oriental and Western noodles here. Among the main course offered are Creole Jambalaya, lightly dill-cured salmon fillet, chicken boxing with Boston Barbecue Sauce and Jacket Potatoes with chives sour cream.
You may order a bowl of Penang classic Hokkien Mee brimming with essence from the prawns or select a freshly cooked pasta from the range of spaghetti, fusilli or linguine pasta fused with different sauce.

Of course, wind up your unique dinner by the poolside with assortment of desserts prepared by the pastry chef in Royale Chulan Hotel Penang. A classic Penang dessert - Ice Kacang with cream and condiments. After that, wash down your palate with some local fruits - Pineapples, Papaya, Watermelon, Honeydew and Starfruits (a rare sighting in buffet spread!), along with Soursop Juice!
Also, we were served Pan Fried Grouper with every 2 paying guests while every 4 paying guest get Lucky Pot (scallops) and Pan Fried Grouper! What an amazing add-on!
