The opening of Yao Ya Ga Dim Sum certainly had brought much joyous factors to folks residing in Batu Lanchang or Jelutong. This is due to we no longer have to travel and stucked in traffic woes to the likes such as Hong Cha restaurant, Maxin, Tai Tong and etc on weekend morning just to enjoy some dim sum. However, please expect a lesser spread of dim sum compared to those conventional popular dim sum restaurants but rest assured you will not be out of choice as the aunty behind the counter is great at marketing her dim sum spread. As for taste wise, it appears to be lackluster for us and probably we will return if we were too lazy to commute to elsewhere for a morning dim sum.
As there were only 2 of us, we only managed to sample around 6 different type of dim sum. Apparently only the siew mai registered a nice taste while the other dim sum appeared to be plain in taste for us.
We also ordered a plate of Hokkien Char separately and it was moderate in taste. It was too starchy and lukewarm in temperature when served to our table.
Overall, if you need a place to get a quick fix of dim sum, then you may consider Yao Ya Ga Dim Sum.
