If you pass by Lorong Selamat, it is very likely you will see a big shophouse on your right - Kedai Biskut Ding Xiang. On top of selling typical Penang snacks (tau sar pneah) which are appealing to tourists, the shop also offers a range of soothing desserts at affordable price tags. For instance, a bowl of warm ginger tea with 2 dumplings with fillings (either black sesame or peanut) only cost RM 3.90 and the taste was good. Do not be intimidated by the shop gigantic display, huge seating an its strategic location in the town, mistaken this shop as a tourist trap. As a matter of fact, Ding Xiang dessert is place that worth your visit - just step in, see the menu and you will be amazed!
