We had a wonderful opportunity to join Hotel Equatorial Penang for their Giant Yee Sang Tossing Ceremony on 12th February 2019. Of course, we were fascinated by the humongous Yee Sang, which probably can feed up more than 100 people. At the meantime, we were more impressed on the quality and taste of the ala carte dishes served at Nada Lama restaurant, the hotel restaurant. For some unknown reasons, we really fall in love with their Nasi Goreng Kampung!
Thanks to Hotel Equatorial Penang for hosting us
The Nasi Goreng Kampung (RM 48) here is a real hit. Although it has a premium price tag of RM 48, it comes with decent portion along with fresh prawns, satay, fried egg, acar and crackers. Needless to say, its taste are excellent - aromatic rice with every quintessential of nasi goreng kampung attained. Give it some heat component by mixing the rice with the chili provided, and this is how a perfect Nasi Goreng Kampung tasted like!
Carbonara |
Papperdelle |
Penne |
On top of a range of delicious Asian delight, Nada Lama also offers a variety of Western delicacies. We sampled a few, and I was delighted to see Pappardella here, a uncommon pasta in Penang. The base for both Pappardella and Carbonara were the same - creamy cheese sauce, while Penne on the other hand, has a stronger tomatoes presence.
Cappuccino Mocha |
On top of that, Nada Lama restaurant also serves a range of interesting drinks.
