In conjunction with upcoming Chinese New Year, the chef in Iconic Hotel has curated a thoughtful Fortune Buffet Dinner. Available on every Friday and Saturday at RM 88+ per adult, the buffet is unique in the sense every week has a different cuisine theme, rotating among Guang Dong (广东) cuisine, Shan Dong (山东) cuisine, Jiang Su (江苏) cuisine and Sze Chuan (四川) cuisine.
Please note that RM 10+ surcharge applicable for buffet on 25th and 26th January & 1st and 2nd February 2019. The buffet we are showcasing today features Guangdong cuisine.

One of the great highlight of the buffet is sighting of Dragon Beard Candy action counter, which is an item that has become rarity and difficult to find in market nowadays. It is freshly made on the spot by the chef at action counter, and you can see the overall making process on the spot.

The essence of Guang Dong dishes are unleashed in the buffet spread. You could get Porridge with condiments to warm your stomach, then continue with some of the signatures such as Shishamo, Lotus Leaf Steam Rice, Wok Fried Mussels with Salted Egg Yolk Paste, Sea Salt and Herbal Steam Baked White Prawns and etc.
Dessert corner also features some of the Guang Dong highlights such as Tao Fu Fa, Warm Bali & Bean Curd Stick with Quail Egg, Dumpling Ball with Peanut Butter and Herbal Jelly.
If you opt for the Sze Chuan style Fortune Buffet Dinner, then you will have access to Dan Dan Noodles with 10 different types of condiments, Ma Po Tofu, Sha Cha Chicken, Boiled Peanut Sauteed Ginger Beef any many more mouth-watering dishes.
Jiang Su cuisine may sounds unique so you will be seeing some dishes such as Slow Cook Lamb with Salted Bean Paste, Sea Salt Stew Duck, Fillet Fish Steamed with Long Jin Tea Leaf, Sugar Coated Haws with Fruits (Ping Tang Hu Lu) and etc.
For the less common Shandong dishes, you can get Eigh Treasure Po Poh Duck, Slow Cook Lamb with Black Bean Paste, Deep Fried Golden Chicken and the unique dessert - warm papaya, snow fungus, red dates & Bali Porridge.
