Campbell Street in Penang is packed with some bygone taste in Penang such as Yee Heong restaurants and at the same time new blood is injected onto this heritage street. One of the worthy try here will be Gomo Wine Bar & Restaurant, a restaurant serves fusion between Japanese and European cuisine, then feature a selection of wines for those who likes to amplify the taste. The average price point, cozy environment and good food makes Gomo Wine Bar & Restaurant a decent place for a dine in. Its austere facade made it hard to recognise afar but it should not take much efforts to locate the restaurant.

Clams in Garlic (RM 22) and Pork Shogoyaki (RM 24) were the choices recommended by the captain, apart from the Wagyu Striploin which did not come in cheap. We enjoyed the freshness of the clams and the richness of the soup, but a tad more garlic would definitely propel this dish into perfection. Meanwhile, Pork Shogoyaki has tender pork cutlet meat grilled into perfection and the ginger gravy made it a joy to savour it.

If you are into sushi, then Temari Sushi Platter (RM 26) is quite a good deal. The sushi is fresh and comes with intact rice balls. Of course, the dish we enjoyed tonight will be Tiger King Prawn Mentaiko (RM 38). Featuring 2 giant king prawns per serving with the flesh topped with mentaiko and slightly charred, this snack unleashes wonderful fragrance and the plumpy pranws are delectable. It did come with a slight prawn scent which I am okay but it might put off certain people.
