Recently, we discovered a cafe with a very relaxing ambiance - Wells Cafe. In the afternoon, light shines through the semi-transparent roof, creating a diffused light that makes the pictures taken here Instagramable. As a matter of fact, Wells Cafe is well known among social media users but it offers more than just a great place to take picture. Both coffee and chocolate drinks here are well executed, and you can get some sweet end here with either waffle or cakes. Seating is somehow limited here, especially at the Instagramable spot but you can opt to sit at the main lounge area.

We took a different approach by having a cup of single origin cocoa drink - Single Origin Cocoa Milk - Ghana 60% (RM 12) instead of filter coffee, and it did not disappoint. Milk Coffee (RM 12) was an alright choice too.
For dessert, we had Cherry Blossom Ice Cream Waffle (RM 16) and Matcha Sesame (RM 13). The waffle has hit the characteristics of the classic Liege waffle, possessing a dense texture and crisp edges. Topping might vary depending on your selection, though we find cherry blossom ice cream worked perfectly with the waffle.
On the other hand, Matcha Sesame Cake is a slight let down. Matcha taste is relatively tuned down by the bitterness from the sesame, and the aromatic sesame only started to mount in the oral environment toward the finishing of the cake. The size of the cake was small too.
