Undoubtedly Penang is renowned for serving mouthwatering Char Koay Teow (CKT) that will appease even the most discerning palate of Penangites and tourists. There are many famous stalls, such as Siam Road, Lorong Selamat or Ah Leng. Those are real good, yet at the same time notorious for the long queue. We used to patronize those famous CKT particularly Siam Road but the pilling queue drove the impatient us mad somehow. Anyhow, we located another decent CKT stall at Ying Her Kopitiam on Jalan Macalister that managed to whet our appetite. If Siam Road CKT is great, then the CKT here is good.
The plate of flat noodle is fried to possess decent char scent (wok hei), and you can request for a luxury version of Char Koay Teow served with big prawns and mantis prawns for RM 10 per plate. It is mild greasy which makes this plate of Char Koay Teow delicious.
If you are not a noodle person, then the Economy Rice stall here should be appealing with its wonderful selection of dishes. On top of that, the price is well justified and not expensive. Seems like this stall is a popular choice among the working adults within the vicinity.
