Beaufort Noodles @ New Restaurant Kim Wah, Beaufort

If you happen to stop by Beaufort whether for white water rafting or watching firefly at Klias Wetland Park (one of the best scene of firefly I have ever been through, exactly like Christmas trees!), Beaufort Noodle is definitely your must try here. Known as "Mee Goreng Basah" by the local, this delicacy feature unique texture noodles which is fried and topped with starchy soup. One of the restaurant in Beaufort that serves great Beaufort Noodle is New Restaurant Kim Wah in the old town, though I am not sure whether it is the same with Restaurant Kim Wah.

Authenticity is a guarantee here without doubt. The noodles are crisp and exhibit a slight nice charred taste, and complemented well by starchy soup. It is served with some pork and vegetables, though I would preferred the pork at Beaufort Restaurant in Kota Kinabalu.

As this is small town, service appears to be lackluster and do not have high expectations here. Just sit down, grab your noodles and go.
