Business was brisk for Swatow Lane Ice Kacang, which used to operate in the New World Park food court. However, crowd reduces due to the instability of the state of New World Park with all the ongoing rumours, and this once famous Swatow Lane Ice Kacang also mulled to cede operating in New World Park due to they act as the anchor tenant for all the stalls in the food court. Eventually, they moved out from the food court by occupying one of the shop lot in New World Park, and offer a more diversify menu that includes laksa, rojak on top of the famous ice kacang.

The core of the business at Swatow Lane Ice Kacang is still the much popular ice kacang though various dishes have been introduced. We ought to give the special among the special a try, thus we ordered a Ice Kacang Special at the premium price of RM 6. The regular ice kacang is topped with 3 fruits of the day, and one of the ice cream available (if we recall correctly, it would be either peanut or vanilla). Overall the combination worked well, not overly sweet, and shaved ice was smooth and not exhibiting the ice crystals that will cause displeasure to the tongue.

Rojak here was a surprise find, as the thick condiment was rich and spicy that gives much pleasure. Penang Asam Laksa on the other hand was running short to inspire, and more like to serve as an extra option for those prefer something starchy.
