Kitchen Chemistry @ The Glass House, Hin Bus Depot, Georgetown, Penang

The center of Hin Bus Depot used to be Tavern in the Park that has romantic glowing light when the dusk sets in. However, the restaurant has faded out and has been replaced by Kitchen Chemistry, a second establishment of this multi-discipline cuisine restaurant (the first Kitchen Chemistry outlet is in Kampung Jawa). Both exterior and exterior part of the restaurant remained unchanged and still make Kitchen Chemistry at Hin Bus Depot an ideal place for Instagram shot.

Aloha Burger (RM 25)

Menu of Kitchen Chemistry is not big, and most importantly the price tag is not vexing when we went through it. We had an Aloha Burger, which comes with nicely grilled chicken patty topped with Kraff cheese and a pineapple ring. The overall taste is good when having the burger with the dollop of sauce, but somehow on a personal level the pineapple gave it a subtle taste, which I did not particularly enjoy.

Cempedak cake

We were being told the cakes here were homemade and that managed to convince us to give a try on their Cempedak Cake. The cake was not bad as you can see some cempedak sitting on top of the cake, and cempedak flavour was really present. As for the coffee, it was not the most impressive coffee I had but enough for a caffeine fix.
