8 Way Cafe is a Chinese restaurant serving primarily Fuzhou dishes, located nearby to Vivacity Megamall. It was introduced by our friends who are residing in Kuching, saying it is one of restaurant that serves homey style Fuzhou dishes with a wallet-friendly price tags.
The menu has an extensive dishes to offer and one of the must try here is their Fried Three Layer Meat. The pork meat was fried perfectly, retaining an excellent texture yet not sebaceous surprisingly. Dip it with the sambal served to give a slight spicy and tangy sensation.
Fuzhou descendants are well known for including red wine into their dish preparation, thus we gave Red Wine Paste Chicken (RM 13; small) for a try. The taste is unique with a slight alcohol taste, and the chicken is tender.Â
One of the must try dish whenever you are in Sarawak is Sayur Midin. We are unsure whether this dish is exclusively available in Borneo only as we seldom see this in Semenanjung. However, the way the midin being prepared here was not up to our expectations, and we thought restaurant elsewhere serves better midin.Â
Overall, 8 Way Cafe is an ideal destination should you wish to savour some Fuzhou dishes.
