Sigi's Bar & Grill March 2018 Promotion @ Golden Sands Resort, Penang

Chef Fabio Polidori, the award-winning Chef from Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao made a special appearance at Sigi's Bar & Grill in Penang as guest chef on February 26th until 28th, 2018, Mesmerized the palates of the guests and gourmands with Mediterranean cuisine featuring his signature dishes. His signature dishes and four-course tasting set dinner menu will be available throughout March 2018. All diners are entitled to lucky draw entries, with attractive prizes awaiting for the lucky winners.

Before we dive into his signature dishes, let get a brief background about Chef Fabio. He began his culinary journey in the kitchen at a very young age by helping his mothers, cooking dishes synonymous with Italian cooking. With a wealth of experience spanning 23 years, Chef Fabio achieved a successful career at distinguished five-star luxury properties in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. His creative inventions and adept culinary skills has garnered him numerous awards and accolades, including "Chef of the Year Award 2015" in Shanghai from Grand Hotel Media Magazine and the TV programme, You are the Chef.

Diners can expect a choice of starters, comprising Beef Keftedes and Gambas Bravas. Then, enjoy Chef's unique Pondicherry soup that give you the rice spices broth with seafood, followed by homemade Potato Gnocchi Pasta. Alternatively, try the staple Italian dish, Risotto with Scallop.

On 28th February, Chef Fabio conducted an exclusive cooking demonstration for his signature pizza Calzone. We had the pleasure to hands on and made our own calzone with our favourite ingredients.
