Both Sunway Hotel Georgetown and Seberang Jaya is fully geared up to celebrate the auspicious year of the dog in 2018 with a spread of buffet dinner on 15th and 16th February 2018 for RM 88 nett (adult) and a 8-course set dinner available at Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya from 8th - 28th February 2018 for RM 788 nett per table.

No Chinese New Year will be completed without a customary Yee Sang tossing. Thus, go into the Yee Sang corner and get a plate of Yee Sang with Salmon to kick off the prosperous new year. Even you have tossed numerous Yee Sang in the new year, it is always good to get more Yee Sang for the year, denoting the meaning of abundance.
The diners can warm their stomach first with 2 different choices of soup before the meal and have it with assorted breads and rolls.Â

Personally, we loved the Black Chicken Soup with Lotus Root. Not only it is nutritious but the feeling of less oil is what we appreciated.Â

Above mentioned are some snippet of hot dishes available for the Chinese New Year Buffet and there will be more mouth-watering dishes such as Stir Fried Squid with Celery & Cashew Nut and Braised Bean Curd with Minced Meat Sauce.Â
We would say Stir Fried Lamb with Blackpepper, Kam Heong Mussels and Steamed Red Lion with Chili Pickled Lettuce are our favorite for the night. The taste are spot on and not excessive seasoned, making it very palatable and soothing for the brand new start Chinese New Year.

Surprise to see there are Siu Mai and Har Gow at one of the corner among the various dishes in the buffet line.Â
The appetizers corner are neatly presented, with various Oriental choices such as Sweet Chili Jelly Fish, Shredded Young Mango with Chili Honey Sauce, Crispy Jicama, Tomato Wedges and so on.Â
Some may wonder why we always write appetizers on the nearly end of the write-up. Reason is simple - we always get distracted by other wonder items in the buffet, such as the seafood, hot dishes, or even craving counters.Â
There will be a Yong Tao Foo Counter with more than 10 items to choose from and an action stall showcasing Prawn Noodles (Hokkien Mee), specially caters for those who returns home to Penang.Â

The dessert counters offers a fair mixture between Chinese and Western sweet items such as Chinese New Year cookies, Cream Caramel Cakes, Mandarin Orange Cakes (taste exactly like a macaron) and etc. Do remember to take a sip of the different tong sui such as Read Bean Porridge and Warm Snow Fungus with Dried Longan for a more cultural feel.
Diners at Sunway Hotel not only get to enjoy the buffet but also will be entertained throughout the night and participate in the lucky draw.Â
