When we passed by Ipoh, our friends shared with us that JJ Roll which sells swiss rolls and customized cakes are such a sensation in Ipoh. My friend is surprised that we have not tried JJ Roll yet, thus we purposely drop by there for our maiden trial.
Stepping into the shop and I was amazed by the variety of Swiss Rolls they are offering. From the conventional fruity flavours such as bananas or orange, sesame to the extremes choice such as cempedak or durian. It is all available here.Â
Some of the Swiss Rolls are available in single flavour per packet, while some packets have mixed flavors. Price wise is wallet friendly as well with not more than RM 20 per packet.Â
We bought two packets of mixed flavours for trial purposes. Texture wise it was soft and fluffy, rendering a pleasant biting sensation. The Swiss rolls have a nicely tuned sweetness that does not cause surfeiting, however the flavour is somehow light. We totally could not taste the particular flavour indicated, though the overall taste still appeasing.Â
JJ Swiss rolls are remain one of the best d and occasionally a bite or two at home during tea break is particularly enjoyable.
