What would happen when Eastern Cuisine meet Western? Ixora Hotel is ready to share this exceptional combination with all the diners in the month of September. There will be four different set of buffet lunch menu rotated during the weekdays, covering from salad bar, soup, hot dishes to dessert. We managed to sample some of the highlighted dishes before the launch, and we reckon Kim Chee Mandoo should be in your must-try list. On top of that, their cocktail and mocktail from the month of August has been extended to the month of September too. The joy of September does not stop here because they are offering Lemon Mango Cake as their cake of the month. Our dinner started with their Avocado Tomato Egg that had nicely diced avocado coated with creamy sauce accompanied with egg. While some might wish the avocado to taste stronger but it is just nice for us. Castilian Garlic soup is a rare find here. Ixora's chef has localize this soup by making it creamy but heated with garlic flavour, thus very soothing and warms up our body.

We then moved on to their hot dishes. Kim Chee Mandoo is one of our favourite for the night. Mandoo or some called it mandu is a traditional dumpling in Korea. Ixora has brought the mandoo to pan fried to golden brown, then nicely sit on the bed of spicy hot Kim Chee. Do not voraciously savour their kim chee in big spoon or else you could be stroked with the spicy heat. For the brinjal hot dish, nicely cooked to the texture that blend well with the shrimp paste which seasoned to perfection.

After the savoury dishes, we had our sweet end with the intricate Summery Pudding and Crepe Suzette. Crepe Suzette is actually fried banana that wrapped in thin crispy skin.
