A tranquil place within the concrete jungles of Georgetown, that is how we label this newly minted cafe along Lebuh Farquhar, named Dan (单).
In Chinese, the words Dan carries the meaning single. Everyday, we were occupied with countless tasks till the extent we obliterated our life's purposes. Therefore, Dan cafe aspires to provide a serene atmosphere to flee from the unfinished chores, letting patrons enjoying the day with a cup of brewed coffee and a slice of cake, surrounded by the lovely terrarium and greenish plants.
Coffee connoisseurs would be delighted as Dan cafe serves higher quality single-origin coffee which yields specific taste. Currently there are 4 types single-origin coffee beans being offered by the cafe.
Alternatively, pick their tasting plate to sample the difference in taste between Espresso and flat white. Good news is that Dan cafe is considering offering the much vaunted crown jewel of coffee beans - the Arabica Geisha variety which has an unique and complex aromatic flavor profile.
Well, Dan cafe definitely is a place that worthy a visit to slow down the pace of life and give a reflection on yourself. Get disconnected from the outside world, enjoy the moments, and perhaps you will get a refreshing start in the life.

Tasting plate (RM 20) comes with a cup of Espresso, White and soda (to cleanse your palate) |
Hojicha Latte (RM 13) |
Gula Melaka Cheese Cake (RM 12) with rich, cheesy and fluffy texture, remarkably the fragrance of gula melaka did not shadows the cheese. |
