Awesome Canteen at Sekeping Victoria, Lebuh Victoria, Georgetown, Penang

There was a night where we slacked on the street of Lebuh Victor, the stimulating coffee fragrance lured our attention and we began to notice Awesome Canteen. We promised ourselves we have to keep this in our next-to-visit list. Stepping in the cafe, we are trilled with their quaint interior. The spaced is filled with re-purposed industrial made chairs, metal tables and chairs like canteen, with skinny trees interval in between. Awesome Canteen is famed for their Paleo meal at Petaling Jaya. They finally realized their wished to establish their second outlet at Sekeping Victoria owned by Sekeping Retreats. We thought they make a great fused in term of concept.

What is Paleo Diet? It is an effort to eat like we were back then during the Paleolithic era in Stone Age, for optimal health. It is like you are eating like a caveman. The ingredients used to prepare Paleo meal are natural, such as egg. grass feed meat, nut, vegetable, seed, fungi and fruit. In other words, you may take it as no processed food in your meal. Our first Paleo meal go to Awesome's Paleo Egg Plant Niku with Chicken (RM 29.90) 130gm chicken sided with sunny side up egg and glanced with sweet red sauce with a hint of spicy. Some greens, tomato and two thick slices of eggplant for source of vitamins, mineral and fiber. Their sweet potato fries was superb with firm and nice bite.

Another main goes to their chef recommended Rocky Blue Cheese Beef Burger (RM 27.90) Compactly rich homemade beef patty, coated with the devilish melting blue and Swiss cheese. Then, added on lettuce and roasted tomatoes, served between their artisan baked burger buns.
