Sweet Monster Cafe @ 4th Street Club, Lebuh Tye Sin, Georgetown Penang

Sweet Monster Cafe has consolidated with Moody Cow.

Moody Cow stays on high repute for their creative and solid own made cheese cake among the dessert lovers in Penang. They have recently ventured out as Sweet Monster Cafe, drumming their monster creation -> cake pie. From selling the most expensive cakes, they are probably selling the most expensive pie in Penang now. Fear not, their dessert 's quality is sturdy with the price.

The exterior could be a disguise with simple wording signage, walking into the cafe immediately immersed with cookies and pies. If you have been to Moody Cow before, the first step you step in the cafe you will realize they are own by the same person. The interior setting is similar, dim light with European decorative and soft music. The guys here are friendly and patiently recommend me their signature drink and dessert.

Ferrora Roche Monster Cookies
We were recommended to try their signature liquor cake pie, Drunken Party. We were amazed of the bold liquor kick, which go intensely well with the chocolate and the nutty crust. Another we had was their popular Savoury Ham Potato, sided with a chunk of green salad. It was served warm, buttery nuttery pie crust with creamy filling consist of vivid potato and ham texture. While chatting with buddies, a piece of monster cookies would add in some fun. We had their Ferrora Roche but find it a little bit too dry and thin in term of chocolate scent. For Cempadak lover, you may checkout their Jacko. Due to my buddies and I had a bad experience on cempadak cake else way, thus we made a skip during the visit.

For tea, I was recommended to try their Osmanthus Frangrance tea (RM 10), sweet with humblily aromatic flower scent. It goes really well with the sweet dessert and literally clean the sweet sense away. I think I found my new favourite for tea after Earl Grey.
