Nicsmann 1940 is a relatively new fashionable and lifestyle F&B outlet located in the prominent entertainment hub in Klang Valley - TREC KL, just beside the renowned night club Zouk. The food outlet offers a fine dining experience with a wide range of wine, with a view at the scenic KLCC tower.
The concept of the food outlet was launched by the Lewré group, the prestigious Malaysia shoe designer brand. I was here for a bloggers dinner gathering jointly organized by LocatedAt & FoodInk, and had the opportunity to meet some fellows bloggers from Klang Valley.

Of course, gathering and socializing among the clique definitely come along with a dinner. After all, food is our bonding agent right?
The fine dining started with appetizer - Classic Caesar Salad with Smoked Duck Breast. the romaine lettuce and croutons dressed with parmesan cheese, lemon juice, olive oil and egg is fulfilling enough as an appetizer. A few pieces of smoked duck breast is an special addition to the classic Caesar salad, giving the salad a bolder taste.
Next served is Homemade Wild Mushroom Soup with Truffle Oil. I kinda like the soup as the soup has a slight coarse texture and truffle oil has imparted an aromatic scent.
We were offered to choose 1 out of 4 main dishes available and I opted for Pouch English Fresh Salmon Trout with Garden Vegetable and Tomato Broth. I was amazed by the huge chunk of salmon given and the flesh was in complete pieces following the salmon drawings, not mushy at all. The tomato broth decently cooked and not really thick, thus it complements the salmon well and allowing the fresh salmon taste to be tasted still.
After finishing the salmon, my stomach has reached the maximum capacity.
This is Grilled Lamb Rack with Sautéed Fresh Vegetable and Black Pepper Sauce, which I snapped the picture from other fellow bloggers. The comment on it was good and I did not have the opportunity to sample it. I was the only lone guy from Northern in that night then.
Grilled Meltique Beef with Mango Salsa, and a touch of Truffle Jus from other fellow blogger as well.
The night ends with the Signature Dessert Platter - Bread & Butter Pudding, Classic Créme Brulee, Chocolate Lava and Sizzling Brownies. Do you realise there is a big candle stick in the center of the platter? There comes the excitement:
The server will help to light up the big candles and wahla, the entire restaurant will become like a party celebration. Be quick with your camera as the "fire" only lasts for 10 seconds!
I was too full to consume any more of the dessert thus I only sample a few scoops for each of it. I am particularly fall in love with the chocolate lava and sizzling brownies, as the rich chocolate taste is irresistible.
