Majority of
men would love to have a full platter of meat assortments for a gratifying
lunch. Though sinful, the combination of roasted, grilled and bbq meat at First
Famous Federal Restaurant along Lorong Susu is hard to resist, as here serves
one of the topnotch char siew in Penang, delivering a smack to you upon
savoring it.
We were drawn
here upon hearing from colleague that the duck here is great, and it turns out
their char siew is luscious. Coated with a thin layer of honey, the char siew
is gluey and exhibit a justly proportion of lean and fat meat, giving rise to
its unique taste.
At the
meantime, we quite enjoy the roasted duck here as it is soft and tender,
without possessing the unpleasant meaty duck odour which I dislike.
Other than
that, roasted chicken, sausages and roasted pork are available here. People often seen flocking the restaurant
from time to time to order some carnivorous diet back home.
Total
damage was RM22 for 2 people, which we considered normal as we were served a
large quantity of meat. Soup is given complimentary
