After posting out the post on top 10 mee goreng in Penang, I was recommended by a grandiose reader to try this Din Mee Goreng located nearby Sub Centre Kompleks, Medan Mayang Pasir or more well known as Old Suiwah. Despite coming here several times in the past few years, this stall has gone under the radar, and I have to agree that it was a surprise to find a nice mee goreng here.
This modest stall serves a plate of dried version of mee goreng (RM4.00), which emits a tremendous of wok-hei. We asked for extra spicy and the scent of spiciness could be vividly tasted in every bits of the noodles. We preferred the extra spicy version after tried the regular spicy level version.
The chef also creatively blended a scent of saltiness originated from the soy sauce in the spiciness. Some people may like them but it is not toward our preference. Nevertheless, it is still a great bowl of mee goreng.
The stall is situated at the hawker centre beside the building known as Old Suiwah. Just look out for the last stall for Din Mee Goreng to savour a plate of decent mee goreng!
We also manage to enjoy a cup of Teh Tarik for only RM1.00. Surprised to see this price tag post GST era!
