Tatsu Jin Japanese Restaurant @ Kampung Jawa, Penang

Tatsu Jin is pretty hidden in Kampung Jawa, tuck in the corner of residential at the intersection of Jalan Bahagia and Lorong Kampung Jawa. Before this, the same spot was used to run the business of Kong Bee Lee Pan Mee. It wasn't hard to locate Tatsu Jin restaurant - after you spotted Kampung Jawa Petronas Petrol Station on your left, turn left and go straight you will find Tatsu Jin on your right. There are ample parking space at the side of the road. Keep your receipt as they are running the discount offers for your next visit.

Remarks: The price listed below are captured before GST implemented.

Butaniku Enoki Maki (RM 13 ala carte/ RM 18 set) was served on sizzling clay plate. Thinly sliced pork wrapped around the Enokitake, laying on the bed of piping hot black sauce, ornament with shallots. Be careful, not to put the whole thing in your mouth as the heat greatly wrapped inside with the Enoki.

Kimuchi Ramen (RM 16), if you don't like ramen, you may opted for udon. We were overwhelmed with the generous amount of cabbage and vegatables they have added in. The fried prawn was extremely crispy, we noticed sprinkle of sesame was added to enhance it more.

Deluxe Sushi (RM 35) to satiate our (should be me) sushi desire once for all. We were kind of disappointed on their raw fish sushi. The salmon was average while the rice kind of overcooked, texture were mushy. However, the duck and unagi sushi was better, probably due to the palatable sauce.
