Big Prawn Fish Head Mee Hun @ Goh Chew Coffee Shop, New Lane, Penang

The signature breakfast at New Lane, the luxury version of economy style fried mee hoon that came with fried prawn and fried fish. Special homemade sauce which looks like satay sauce but taste otherwise were given to compliment the fried fish. We thought the taste was overrated and overpriced. We personally prefer Lucky Fresh more. However, this big prawn fish head mee hun worth the try for once.

Remarks: The price listed below are captured before GST implemented.

Medium size fried prawn was charged for RM 10 per piece. The price of prawn depends on the size of your pick. It was fried till super crisp at the skin with a little bit of salty touch. The crispiness could be felt particular at the legs of the prawns, and it taste alike prawn crackers with every bites of it, with cracking and popping sound could be well heard.

Fried fish with mee hoon was RM 11 for the portion of one pax. The fish was mediocre in term of taste while the noodle a little bit dry to our liking. However, the portion was big even for two of us to finish.
