Rojak Lok Lok @ Air Itam, Penang

It is a brilliant to combine rojak with lok lok, skewered all the freshly cut fruits with wooden sticks, brought the rojak savoring process to a different level. They have been around for years, it may not be new to those who live in vicinity. What makes them different not just how they present their lok lok, but also the ingredients and sauce they are offering. Most importantly, you can customize what you want to have in your bowl of rojak by self pick. They have increase the price a little bit, it is now RM 0.70 per stick.

We were given a metal bowl, then we can start picking our favorite ingredients, then we can add on amount of sauce we want.

I believe you can see how much effort been put it to maintain the freshness of the fruit by judging on the amount of ice they have added on. We think fruits are best to go with their original sauce.

It is uncommon to find crispy bean curd, fried hot dog and fried balls at rojak stalls. They are readily fried, thus you can straight glaze them with sauce. We think it is best to go with their spicy sauce. However, we experienced moment of numbness on our lips after we had their spicy sauce, so for those who have low tolerance to spiciness have to be aware.

Cap with red marking is spicy sauce.
You will always find patrons enjoying their rojak while standing under scorching sun.
