Situated at the same row of shop where you find the precious and only US pizza restaurant in Penang, you will find this restaurant grade Chicken Rice tucked within an almost deserted coffee shop. Unlike ordinary chicken rice, they focus more on the balance of vegetables and protein, offering healthy herbal soups or miso soup instead of chicken stock. We were amazed by the hearty fancy food presentation that makes us forget that we were dining in kopitiam. Although the price is a bit on the higher side but it worth every 'ringgit'.
Japanese Teriyaki Chicken Rice (RM 5.50) , the over grilled chicken was tender and juicy, glazed with richly flavoured teriyaki sauce and ordiment with sesame, It is served with boiled cauliflower and fresh cucumber and carrot for a balancing diet.
We would love to come again and try out their CR Pouched Hu Xu Chicken Rice next time.
