Kafe Sri Nibong @ Sungai Nibong, Penang

Kolo mee's popularity is getting heater and heater in East Malaysia nowadays, and this humble stall in Sri Nibong cafe provides me kolo mee with the taste most closest that I can get in Penang. Of course, there is definitely no way to compete with the original kolo mee that I have tasted in Kuching during my four years there. This stall however sooth my desire when I just simply nostalgia over my times in Kuching.

June 8th, 2016 update: The kolo mee has ceased operation.

Kolo mee with char siew oil (RM 4.50) is quite higher in price but by looking at the fact that they import those noodle from Kuching then the price sound reasonable.

Operation hours: 6.30am - 2pm (Closed on Monday)

The famous instant cook Sai Tho Koay Teow Th'ng with egg (RM 4.50) came with fish ball and minced pork. Minced pork was chewy and the soup was saporous on our first try but disappointing on our second visit. The standard of soup wasn't consistent though. They are operating not only during day time but night as well.

Operation hours: 6.30 am - 3pm & 7am - 10pm (Closed on Monday)

We have tried wantan mee and char koay teow but they were just mediocre.
