Kong Thai Lai has moved to Leith Street.
As a fans of authentic old town coffee, I wouldn't forgive myself if I missed Kong Thai Lai after the released of news that they are going to move again for the 3rd time. Until now, they haven't confirm and still in the midst of hunting the right shop to move. Their shop located superb close to Toh Soon in fact as Campbell street and Hutton lane just separated by Penang road.
Incredibly thick coffee either in hot or cold form. Every sip is a great enjoyment for my every taste buds. Surprisingly they are selling their coffee bean in half kilogram (RM10) and one kilogram (RM 20). I bought half kilogram and get myself a reusable coffee filter clothe to make my own Kong Thai Lai's coffee at home. The result wasn't so bad but just can't figure the right taste like them.
Peanut butter toast came in generous amount and it was very crunchy. Dipping it with soft boiled eggs was the perfect breakfast in the lovely Saturday morning. For those who still can't get enough with toast and eggs, you can add on nasi lemak, fried rice, fried noodle or western food. They come in super big portion.

Oops! never know they are moving to another place, I still looking forward to get myself to try on their toast and coffee.
