Famous Teochew Cendol @ Penang Road, Penang

Why Cendol is so good in Penang? The reason why is that Penang has a lot of coconut and we are using fresh santan aka coconut milk. Penang Road, the famous Teochew cendol stall always occupied with long queue even during weekday. However, they serve incredibly fast and has sufficient workforce. There is two cendol stalls there, you can judge which are the best by looking at the queue.

They have 5 more outlets: Komtar walk, Prangin Mall, Bagan Ajam, Sunshine Farlim & All Seasons. Selangor cendol fans can have it at Giant Hypermarket Shah Alam too. You may refer their webpage here. However, I personally prefer to come back to the original one at Penang Road.

Scoop a spoonful of pandan cendol along with kidney red bean & blended ice, let the strong and thick coconut milk and  brown sugar sooth your thirsty throat on this sultry day. Most people enjoying their delectable dessert along the street and has to be constantly aware of coming traffic. This bowl cost the damage of RM 2.30.

At the coffee shop beside this famous cendol, you will find the Famous Laksa (RM 4.00) too. The laksa was more towards the spicy and sapid side, succulent to my liking. If you are not a chili eater, be extra careful not to swallow chili padi hidden among the noodle.
