Dragon-i é¾™çš„ä¼ äºº was first entered Penang about 5 or 6 years ago at the central zone of 3rd floor in Queensbay. They has very authentic China's style and decoration with red as their theme, very eye catching. There was where I tried it for the first time. This time, my second attempt happened at Penang's 2nd outlet, New Wing of the Ground Floor, Gurney Plaza.
Their Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumplings (RM 9.80) left very impressive impression on me few years back. I have set it as my 'Dragon-i must order dish'. I love their gravy but very concentrated herbal flavor of the soup that preciously wrapped inside the dumpling.
Steamed Egg Yolk Custard Bun (RM 8.00) gave me a very great pleasure. The oozing custard, I can't help myself shutting my eyes and enjoy the custard flowing into my mouth. Gratifying!
Sze Chuan 'Dan Dan' La Mian in Hot and Sour Soup (RM 13.00). Their La Mian aka 'hand-pulled noodle' was awesome! The soup wasn't as oily as I expected. Chef added on peanut and sesame into the soup. I would say I preferred La Mian than it's soup.
Fried Rice with Shrimps & Preserved Vegetables (RM 18.00) was mediocre. However, I enjoyed the Q-vy chewy texture of the rice and the freshness of the shrimps.
Hot American Ginseng, wolfberry & Aleo Vera (RM 8.00) was great too. I like the ginseng aroma with the sweetness of wolfberry plus the chewy aloe vera.
Sparkling mead from Wamssler was quite impressive. I personally preferred the original and wild berries more than the ginseng. Â Wamssler was founded since the year 1925 and originating from Oberderdingen, Germany. Penang's outlet can be found at Gurney Paragon.
