Arrived Ipoh around 12pm, so we not gonna head for dim sum. Instead, gonna grab a proper lunch.
As you might read about my Ipoh Trip here, so I am gonna rush over 永成茶楼 to see if I have any luck with their 萨骑马.
Too bad they are sold off, so we decided to try their egg tart due to good reviews from the net.
Thick crust egg tart. I love the egg custard at the center. Just the crust too thick for my liking.
This is the 永成茶楼 Coffee Shop where I can get my favourite 萨骑马.

The famous Lou Wong Chicken Tauge Restaurant. Since my favourite Cowan Street Tauge Chicken & Koitiau Restaurant only opens at night, so we made a try with Lou Wong.
Their chicken kind of overrated. It taste very ordinary for me.
Their meat ball pretty good and Q. Slightly different with the meat ball in KL.
The best part of the whole set-> Tauge. Pretty good but I still prefer Cowan Street more. I think they should put more sesame oil and pepper for this.
Their Hor Fun got a weird smell and the soup pretty tasteless. Overall, pretty pricey for me. It's around RM 20+
Just few blocks away, found my favourite tau fu fah @ Funny Mountain. The only drive through taufu fah shop.
I finished these hot, smooth and soft taufu fah (RM 1.00) by standing in front their shop.
Such a long queue for drive through. The shop keeper rush like hell to serve every car. You are allowed to finish their having-here taufu fah in car. Great huh? Their business was so good that I never see them resting their arm.

We was planning to try on Sin Yoon Loong's white coffee just next to this Sun Yuan Foong Coffe Shop. Too bad they closed on that Sunday.
It's okay, we got to enjoy white coffee from Sin Yuan Foong too. Quite nice but not as thick as the one we tried before.
Just opposite Sin Yoon Loong Coffee shop, you will find this Nan Heong Coffe Shop.
Bought one box of egg tart as snack later. I love Nan Heong crust more. The egg custard just fine but overall are nice. If Nan Heong egg tart crust & Hong Kee egg tart custard can complement each other then it would be great.

Too bad, we din't get to tapao the great 鸡丝莲蓉饼 from Ching Han Guan. What a disappointment...
