Originating from Vienna, Austria, strudel is a classic Euripean pastry known for its delicate, flaky layers wrapped around sweet and savoury fillings. While it is a common sight across many European countries, authentic strudel has long been a rarity in Malaysia.
That changed in 2020 with the launched of Strudel Bakery House, a Klang-based bakery operated by a bakery chef with over 30 years of baking experience. Specialising in handcrafted strudels made fresh daily, the bakery quickly gained a loyal following, making this European favourite more accessible to Malaysian.
Freshness is at the heart of the brand, which is why most of its outlets are still concentrated around Klang Valley and Selangor. I still remember when the demand in Penang was so overwhelming that independent runners would regularly offer delivery services, bringing freshly baked strudels all the way from Klang Valley just for eager customers. It was one of those treats that people simply couldn't wait to get their hands on nor get over it.

Although the Classic Apple Strudel remains the bakery's signature bestseller, we found outselves enjoying the Strawberry Strudel and Peach Strudels even more. Each pastry features layers of crisp, buttery pastry filled generously with fresh fruits and smooth, creamy filling. The constracts between the light, flaky crust and the juicy fruit creates a delightful balance of textures with pleasant sweetness.
It is easy to see why Strudel Bakery House became a viral sensation shortly after its launch. Every bite delivers a satisfying combination of buttery pastry, fresh fruit and cream, making it the kind of dessert you will find yourself craving again and again.
As fresh fruits are used in the fillings, the strudels are best enjoyed within three days of purchase for the freshest taste and texture. Frankly, we can't even hold ourselves from digging it again and again that we can easily finish it before the freshness expire.
