Oven Grilled Squid

The cafe has recently come up with 2 new creative dishes, on top of an extensive menu. The first is Mince Pork Baked Scallops (RM 32), which is an interesting dish as we seldom see such combination. Mince Pork introduced a salty sensation to the firm big scallops, and somehow it tasted like having meatballs and scallops at the same time.

Another new dish is Oven Grilled Squid (RM 28) that best reflects Malaysian cuisine culture. The squid is cooked to perfection - firm and chewy, but not rubbery, which is easily sliced with a light touch of knife. It is coated with sweet sauce with a hint of spiciness which is soothing to the palate.

It is tough to say which are the best dishes at D' Fat Mona Lisa Cafe as there are way too many dishes that captivated our appetite. One of them is Kurobuta Pork Spare Rib, which is competitively priced at RM 38. Its portion is huge, and the pork ribs are coated with a nice sweet sauce.

We believe there is hardly any restaurants out there able to serve this delicacy at this price. Somemore the cafe is using Kurobuta pork, which is famed as the "Wagyu" level of pork in all their pork dishes!

Not enough of pork dishes? Then you can order Kurobuta Pork Chop (RM 25), a simple yet elegant pork dishes that hardly go wrong. It is generously served with a large piece of pork with 2 different sauces for you to choose from.

Meanwhile, seafood lovers can go for their Seafood Fillet Marinara (RM 35). The sweet tomato sauce makes a perfect match with the light fish fillet.

The Lava Omelette (RM 28) here makes a perfect choice as breakfast, and even can be shared among 2 person due to its huge portion. See the giant omelette size, not only it is fluffy in texture but it is filled with cheese as well. Also on the plates are salad, red beans, mushrooms, oat and fruit skewers that supply the necessary nutrients for you to start the day.

Another simpler yet healthy choice for breakfast will be Avocado on Toast (RM 22).

We realized the chef at D' Fat Mona Lisa Cafe like to be creative by playing around with dishes and creating combination of cuisine. After the creative Mince Pork baked Scallops, another dish that portray such characteristic is Char Siew Sauce Chicken (RM 20). The Char Siew sauce, a combination of sweet and umami taste, give the classic chicken chop an elevation in taste.
